SEAI Grants and carbon credits
The Better Home Energy Scheme is Government programme for a heating control upgrade grant of €700 in cash.
It is available to all homeowners, including landlords whose homes were built and occupied before 2006.
Homes built from 2006 onwards should have been constructed to the 2003 Building Regulations and should not need significant upgrades.
This is defined as the date your electricity meter was installed.

Step 3: Choose a seai registered contractor (Swords Plumbing and Gas)
Step 4: Agree to terms and conditions
Step 5: Accept your offer
Step 6: Confirmation email

Carbon credits are a discount provided by the government as an incentive to upgrade your old inefficient gas boiler and heating controls. We deduct these credits from your installation cost, so you don’t have to wait around.
